Selected Totals in Cashiering Closeout Processing

We’re excited to announce an enhancement to the Cashiering Closeout Processing grid that will make it much easier to validate transaction totals before posting to the General Ledger.

What’s New?

We have added real-time dynamic “Selected Totals” to the Cashiering Closeout AG Grid. This feature gives you immediate visibility into subtotals for any subset of transactions you want to review.

You’ll now be able to:

    • Drag and highlight values in the Amount column – the totals will update live as you highlight (similar to the behavior in the Payment Listing Report).

    • Select rows using checkboxes – a new “Selected Totals” section will appear at the bottom of the table (left-aligned, just above the existing overall totals). It will show:
    • Selected Cash Total
    • Selected Check Total
    • Selected Grand Total

Examples

Example 1: Grid with no rows selected

Example 2: Grid with specific rows selected via checkboxes

(Shows the new “Selected Totals” section that appears dynamically with Selected Cash, Selected Check, and Selected Grand Total)

These totals will recalculate in real time as you check or uncheck rows.

The existing Overall Totals (In Cash, In Check, and Grand Total for all unposted closeout items) remain unchanged and continue to display at the bottom as your final reference.

Note: Selected Cash and Selected Check totals only include transactions with a tender type set as “Cash” or “Check.” All other tender types (e.g., money order, lockbox, deposit) are included in the Selected Grand Total only

Why This Matters

    • Quickly spot-check or validate totals for a specific group of transactions before posting
    • Reduces manual calculations and improves confidence during the closeout process
    • This feature works regardless of your Cashiering Closeout Processing settings in Data Management. It runs pre-postig regardless of whether your configuration is set to Manual or Automatic, or how your closeout batches are configured (By User, By Day or No Batch)."
    • The “Selected Totals” section stays visible while scrolling through the grid

This enhancement is now live in production.
