Why Are the Fee Fields Grayed Out on My Tuition Reimbursement Payment Form?

What Is the Problem?

You opened the Tuition Reimbursement Payment Form. The fee fields are grayed out. You cannot select fields, calculate amounts, or save the form.

This is not a bug. A required step has not been completed yet.

Why Is This Happening?

The Tuition Reimbursement Payment Form requires a Tuition Reimbursement Request Form to be submitted and fully approved first.

Until that happens, the fee fields will remain grayed out. The form cannot be saved.

Think of it like a two step process. The first step must be done before the second step can begin.

How the Process Works

Step 1: Submit the Tuition Reimbursement Request Form

The employee must submit a Tuition Reimbursement Request Form. This form must go through the full approval workflow and be marked as fully approved before it can be used on the Payment Form.

Step 2: Complete the Tuition Reimbursement Payment Form

Once the Request Form is fully approved, it will appear as an option in the Tuition Form dropdown on the Payment Form.

Select it from the dropdown. The following fields will populate automatically:

• Course Title
• Tuition Fee
• Book Costs
• Other related details

Once a fully approved Request Form is selected, the fee fields will unlock and you will be able to complete and save the form.

What Should I Check?

Before filling out the Payment Form, confirm the following:

• Was a Tuition Reimbursement Request Form submitted for this employee?
• Has that Request Form been fully approved and completed in the system?

If the answer to either question is no, the Request Form must be submitted and approved before the Payment Form can be filled out.
